#33 33. TERAO SHIGETSUNE'S CODICIL,1277 (A copy in Terao docs.; also KK, [.) "Of Jo-Butsu's domains, a little is divided to granddaughter Taketsuru, and the remainder is devised to Shigemichi. But since Yoichi and Shichiro are such churls as openly to rage about in order to molest [other's possessions], even while I am alive, therefore if he should attmpt to rob or to seize, the surviving children, even if they were women, should together consult and hold the domains left by Jo-Butsu. No matter how many children and descendants Yoichi and Shichiro may leave, they shall never aspire to Jo-Butsu's estate(ato). This statement is made as testimony for the future. "Ken-chi 3 y. 12 m. 1 d. [26 December 1277]. Jo-Butsu, Monogram. (The seven characters added to the original copy at its end would seem to mean: "[He] visits Kyoto.")
